A lot of our customers sell things online. Chances are, you’re one of them. While we love helping people send better email and sell more stuff, we don’t know what it’s like to run a store. And that’s a problem. How can we truly understand the needs of our users if we have no idea what they’re going through?

So we’re starting a store.

Equal parts online shop and research project, we hope it’ll show us what online sellers deal with every day. We want to get to know the struggles of our users first-hand so we can find new ways to help them.

Here, we’ll document the opening and operation of our store. Each week, we’ll chronicle our adventures, including our successes and failures along the way. We don’t really know what we’re doing, but we’re happy to share what we learn as we go. If everything goes as planned, you’ll learn something, too.
